The Spark
It was 2019. We had challenges, plenty to figure out, and a long way to go. Sounds like the beginning of a dramatic success story, doesn't it? Don't worry, we won't exaggerate. There was no big eureka moment, just a few observations about the market and one simple question: Can we do this better?
That question led to THELEX, founded by Dharmarajsinh Jhala in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. We believed that even the smallest components in a solar installation deserve attention, especially electrical protection devices. That belief continues to guide us today.
Looking back, we're proud of how far we've come. THELEX received recognition from Gujarat Minister Harsh Sanghavi for excellence in innovative, reliable, and quality energy protection solutions, while our Founder and Managing Director, Dharmarajsinh Jhala, was featured in Renewable Mirror Magazine’s 30 Under 30. Moments like these remind us that the journey has been worth it.
The First Step
While working with solar installers and EPC partners, Dharmarajsinh noticed that solar panels and inverters often received more attention than smaller protection components. Yet fuses, circuit breakers, and surge protection devices play an important role in protecting electrical systems and connected equipment.
He saw an opportunity to build an Indian brand that understood customer needs and offered dependable products with technical support. That idea became THELEX - The Electrical Expert, built around quality, technical knowledge, and customer relationships.
The Climb
Starting a brand and earning trust in the market is two completely different things. Customers already had established brands they relied on, and we had to prove ourselves in a competitive, price-sensitive market. We believed electrical protection deserved more consideration than price alone. Product quality, specifications, and application suitability matter, too.
We focused on dependable products, technical guidance, and customer support, knowing that trust comes from experience, not promises. The journey taught us that getting people to know your name is one thing; giving them a reason to trust it is another.
The Achievement
As we understood customer needs better, we expanded our portfolio to include AC and DC surge protection devices, DC miniature circuit breakers, and DC fuses. Today, our SPD range includes more than 155 variants, and our Supreme variant SPD comes with a five-year warranty.
THELEX reports having served more than 2,200 projects, built a network of over 250 EPC companies, installers, and channel partners, and established a presence across 28 states and eight Union Territories. We're proud of these milestones, but what matters most is the trust behind them and the relationships we've built along the way.
The Recognition
The recognition received in 2026 for innovation, quality, and reliability has been a proud moment for THELEX. But awards aren't the finish line; there's always more to do.
For Dharmarajsinh, excellence means doing the right things consistently, even when nobody is watching. In electrical protection, even a small component can play a crucial role. That's why quality, correct product selection, and dependable support remain central to our work. Recognition feels good, but continuing to earn our customers' trust matters even more.
The Becoming
From Ahmedabad to our growing presence across India, THELEX's journey has been shaped by our team, customers, and partners. We've come a long way since 2019, but there's still plenty to learn and build.
As Dharmarajsinh Jhala puts it, “Solar is not just an energy source; it is India's future. Our job is to make sure that the future is safe and reliable.”
